Here we are, the 2014 race season has finally arrived. After a long but relatively mild winter, the team were anxious to get the season underway and see what progress could be made with the new partnership with Hurley Race Engineering.

All signs were good for Donington, the snetterton shake down revealed some small technical glitches with suspension and electronics, but these were soon overcome. Even a minor coolant leak didnt dampen our spirits heading into quali as with the Hurleys in attendance, this was soon rectified.

A difficult qualifying, resulted in starting positions of 25th of 38 cars, for both race starts. It was clear we were dissapointed, and convinced something was holding the car back. Upon further investigation and noise test results, it was concluded that the exhaust had started to fail, crumbling inside the silencer, causing a blockage. The lack of free-flowing gases, restricting the engines power.

Without a replacement exhaust, Shane perservered, pushing the car and had a reasonable race one, picking up two places, finishing 23rd. However in race two, Shane dropped to 29th, which included going off track.

We hope you enjoy the on-board footage below.
