Race Report-Round 13 & Round 14 Snetterton 13th September 2015.

Finally a meeting where there was no long trips and no late nights. Our local round at Snetterton has always given us great expectations, but performance has always eluded us. Despite initially being frustrated during qualifying, after some mistakes, a few consistent banker laps put us in 16th position for Race one. Not where we wanted to be, but we knew there was a bit more in the car & the driver!

Race one started with a consistent start, neither losing nor gaining much, but well in the thick of the action during the first couple laps. During the race there was Traynor and Cook spinning, plus a couple opportunistic moves to move up the field. Eventually closing up to Gallagher in his mk3, but not enough to make a move...with Wallis behind in the mk2 who also couldnt make a move. Taking the chequered flag in 11th (9th in class) was dissapointing until we realised we were only 14 seconds behind the winner & 1.3seconds off the fastest lap of the race (over a 2.20 lap).

A sluggish start in race two contributed to some tight racing in the first lap, with some door bumping here and there and some daring outside moves needed, a small mistake on lap two, let through Cook and Lewis, although a couple positions were gained during contact between Gallagher and Traynor a lap later. Some further overtakes between Hutchins, Ward and Myself, ended in us dropping to 16th by the chequered flag. Dissappointing result but yet again we showed promise in the laptime improvements, being just 1.01 seconds off the fastest lap during the race.

Overall, we feel were finally getting a good balance on the car, letting us push harder in the corners and get to grips with the tracks better...literally!!

So thanks go out again to the family & friends that help before & on racedays.

Next up is the final round at Donington. See you there.
